Post-It Tuesday

I apologize for not having a photo for today’s Post-It Tuesday, but I left the following quotes of inspiration on the desk of a fellow teacher and one on a random car in the parking lot:

“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” –Marriane Williamson

“You may not be able to change the world, but you can change someone’s world!” –my thoughts

Think about how one small post-it note can completely change the mood of someone else’s day and join me next week for Post-It Tuesday!Ā  I’d love to hear what you wrote and where you randomly/anonymously left it šŸ™‚

Post-it Tuesday

You guys I didn’t miss posting this week for post-it Tuesday!! Yay me!!!

Here’s the latest post-it note I stuck onto two of the copy machines at work. I hope it’ll make at least one person smile and “let their light shine”

What is that you do to help you stay inspired or to keep your light shining onto others?

Post-it Tuesday

“Monday on a Tuesday” was the caption for my ootd today on Instagram, because today was so much like a Monday.Ā  Yesterday was President’s Day, and while the rest of the fashion world was shopping some great deals & sales I was on my way back from Albany, NY.Ā  It’s a whole day’s trip going from AZ to NY…but so worth it to spend QT with my Mr.!

Lucky for me I wasn’t too jet-lagged at work today, but I’m not gonna lie and say it was easy getting up this morning. It’s a good thing I already had my outfit picked out for the day. A HUGE benefit of choosing your ootd the night before is not having to think about “what should I wear today” and wasting precious time that could be spent on hair, make-up, drinking coffee/tea, eating breakfast, or any of your other morning routines.Ā  Plus, I was happy knowing it really wasn’t Monday and since I missed posting last week’s Post-it Tuesday I made sure I didn’t miss today.

So, tell me, do you plan your outfits the night/week before?

Busy week, busy life

This past week has been nonstop busy. Such is the life of a teacher though. We had Parent-Teacher conferences on Wed and Thurs. I started ahead of the game with a conference on Monday, which worked out in my favor not having to stay until 7pm last night.

This 3 day weekend, I’m spending my time with my most favorite person in the world…my Mr.! He got me a ticket to fly to NY (he’s there for work), so that we didn’t have to be apart on one of our(my) favorite days of the year. I promise I won’t get all lovey dovey on you, but I’m so excited I won’t be spending the Hallmark holiday of love all alone haha.
Anyway, being so busy with conferences and packing for my trip I forgot to take a pic of my post-it for Post-it Tuesday! But, I chose to write the following on a post-it: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”-Helen Keller

This quote couldn’t be more true to what’s been happening in my life lately. My best friend, whom I call my bestest, is embarking on a new journey in her life by starting up & building a business. And I have blindly, but graciously, offered to help her haha. I gave her my disclaimer that while I’m offering to help her, I truly know nothing about the “business/corporate” world, but I’m a natural leader and lifelong learner (teachers-it’s who we are). šŸ˜‰Ā  She reassured me as much as she probably could, and told me I didn’t need to know much, and that just knowing her and her mission is what will be most beneficial for her business. So, here I go…on another daring adventure!

Guess I’ll leave you with my latest ootd’s that I couldn’t post during the week & another favorite photo for Photo Friday! Have a lovely weekend.

Post It Tuesday

So today was my very first “Post It Tuesday.” I wanted to start Post-it Tuesdays to brighten up someone else’s day. All you need is a post-it, a pen and a few simple words of happiness, encouragement, inspiration, or even a quote. This simple random act can ultimately change someone else’s day around! Post-it notes are extremely easy to come by since I’m a teacher, but they’re fairly cheap at any store too. I’d like to invite you to join me next week for Post It Tuesday! Share with me what you wrote on your post-it note. Here are pics of my first two post-it notes.

I left this one on our music teachers computer after she left unexpectedly during the day.

I put this post-it in one of our staff bathrooms on the mirror.

Simple, right?! šŸ˜‰

And, of course I can’t leave without posting my #ootd
