I apologize for not having a photo for today’s Post-It Tuesday, but I left the following quotes of inspiration on the desk of a fellow teacher and one on a random car in the parking lot:
“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” –Marriane Williamson
“You may not be able to change the world, but you can change someone’s world!” –my thoughts
Think about how one small post-it note can completely change the mood of someone else’s day and join me next week for Post-It Tuesday! I’d love to hear what you wrote and where you randomly/anonymously left it 🙂
You guys I didn’t miss posting this week for post-it Tuesday!! Yay me!!!
Here’s the latest post-it note I stuck onto two of the copy machines at work. I hope it’ll make at least one person smile and “let their light shine”
What is that you do to help you stay inspired or to keep your light shining onto others?
Here’s my ootd for today:

This past week has been nonstop busy. Such is the life of a teacher though. We had Parent-Teacher conferences on Wed and Thurs. I started ahead of the game with a conference on Monday, which worked out in my favor not having to stay until 7pm last night.
This 3 day weekend, I’m spending my time with my most favorite person in the world…my Mr.! He got me a ticket to fly to NY (he’s there for work), so that we didn’t have to be apart on one of
our(my) favorite days of the year. I promise I won’t get all lovey dovey on you, but I’m so excited I won’t be spending the Hallmark holiday of love all alone haha.
Anyway, being so busy with conferences and packing for my trip I forgot to take a pic of my post-it for Post-it Tuesday! But, I chose to write the following on a post-it: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”-Helen Keller
This quote couldn’t be more true to what’s been happening in my life lately. My best friend, whom I call my bestest, is embarking on a new journey in her life by starting up & building a business. And I have blindly, but graciously, offered to help her haha. I gave her my disclaimer that while I’m offering to help her, I truly know nothing about the “business/corporate” world, but I’m a natural leader and lifelong learner (teachers-it’s who we are). 😉 She reassured me as much as she probably could, and told me I didn’t need to know much, and that just knowing her and her mission is what will be most beneficial for her business. So, here I go…on another daring adventure!
Guess I’ll leave you with my latest ootd’s that I couldn’t post during the week & another favorite photo for Photo Friday! Have a lovely weekend.

I went through half of my day before realizing it’s TUESDAY! Most people don’t really think about Tuesday. Everyone dreads
Monday, Wednesday is “hump day,” Thursday is one more day closer to the weekend, and Friday is…well, FRIYAY! Today I fell into the “same stuff, different day” kinda mood, but then I remembered I needed to take a few moments of my day to make somebody’s day better.
Have you ever watched that movie, Evan Almighty, with Steve Carell? If so, then you may remember at the end of the movie the acronym for ARK. If you haven’t watched it, I don’t want to spoil too much of the movie for you, but I will tell you what the acronym stood for in that movie. ARK=1 act of random kindness
That’s what post-it Tuesdays is all about people. All it takes is one random act of kindness to change not only your mood, but someone else’s mood/day too. I challenge you to take a few moments next week and Post-it Tuesday!
I very well can’t leave without posting my ootd 🙂

Yesterday was such a long & busy day that I didn’t even have time to “make time” to post. But if you’re wondering how my first yoga class went…it was EXACTLY what I needed! From the moment I started, all the way until the last breath, it was complete relaxation. I’ve already signed up for another class next week. Let’s just say…I’m hooked! Haha.
Now, on to the title of this post. PHOTO FRIDAYS. Just another idea I came up with that I’d like to keep as a tradition for my blog. I’m going to put this disclaimer out there right now– I am NOT a photographer, but I would love to become a photographer someday. I have always enjoyed taking pictures, mostly of mother nature and the beauty she brings to life. My Mr. (husband) bought me a pretty decent camera years ago and that’s when I started to take more interest in capturing moments of special events & the people in my life. I’ve decided to share a photo or two of my favorite pictures that I have taken over the years. There will be some photos that I have taken with my camera phone (iPhone & Samsung) and other photos will be from my Sony camera. My Mr. just bought me a Nikon D3300 that I am beyond thrilled about and can’t wait to start playing with! But for now, and until I can figure out my new camera, I hope you enjoy some of my old photos on the very first…PHOTO FRIDAY!
If you’re an aspiring photographer like me, or an actual photographer, I’d love to hear from you and see some of your work.
This is one of the many white sand beaches on the beautiful island of Guam, a place I call Home.
This is the same beach looking out into the warm, crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Don’t you just want to jump right in?! Absolutely breathtaking!!
*These photos have not been edited or retouched in any way. Mother nature at her best. 🙂 Both photos were taken with my iPhone 4s.

We all start somewhere, at the bottom, as a beginner.
That’s exactly how I’m going to feel tomorrow at my very first yoga class. I’ve been wanting to take a yoga class for a long time now, and have even tried it out with one of those home workout videos (complete fail by the way). I gathered up enough courage to throw myself out there and sign up for a class. I won’t be going alone though…I don’t have that much courage, haha!
Our school’s music teacher sent out an email to the entire staff inquiring if anyone knew of a good place to take a yoga class. It took me a while, but I responded by saying “No, but I’m willing to give it a try with you!” She was more than happy to know there was someone else out there that has never tried yoga and was ready to embark on a new adventure with her. We’re both just trying to release some stress, do something good for ourselves, and get healthy. So, we found a great deal on Groupon (gotta love Groupon), and we are now signed up and pumped for our first class. I’ll let you know how it goes & if we’ll be sticking it out or not.
So, do you practice yoga and if so, how do you like it?
Sorry no #ootd today. I wore my staff jersey & jeans to work since we had our staff pictures today.
